Open to all incoming 3rd-5th grade girls!

Camp GOTR is a week-long, half-day camp created to support girls as they grow—physically, socially, and emotionally—through joyful, confidence-building experiences. With an intentionally designed curriculum, girls learn through playful small- and large-group games, movement, interactive workshops, and moments for personal reflection. Along the way, they build life skills and form meaningful, positive connections with peers in a safe and encouraging environment.

If you have questions about the Camp GOTR, please email Darian Brown, Camp Director at darian@GOTRcentralillinois.org or call 217-726-9808.

Bring Camp GOTR to Your School!

Interested in hosting Camp GOTR at your school or site next year? Email Darian at darian@gotrcentralillinois.org to see how we can make that happen!

True

My girl isn't a big runner; is this program for her? Or my girl is already a skilled runner. Is this program for her?

Yes! We are much more than a running program, and every participant can benefit from the experience of building confidence through accomplishment while participating in our rich, curriculum-based, age-appropriate, interactive lessons. Expect lots of games, talking, laughing and processing in addition to running at each practice. And know that when we say run, we mean run, walk, skip, roll or push, just as long as you are moving forward!

Who can participate?

Camp GOTR is open to girls entering 3rd–5th grade and is designed to bring together participants from across many communities. Each camp site serves a minimum of 15 girls, creating a fun, supportive environment where every participant can connect and thrive.

How does Camp GOTR compare to regular Girls on the Run?

Camp GOTR combines the best of Girls on the Run with all the fun of summer camp! Girls who have participated in GOTR before and girls who are brand new to Girls on the Run will enjoy the Camp GOTR activities, games and themes.

Is there a way for me to sponsor a participant for a camp session?

While we don't have direct participant sponsors, as a mission-driven 501(c)(3), Girls on the Run relies on generous donors in order to provide program scholarships so that EVERY girl can participate in Girls on the Run. If you are interested in donating, please see more information here
